SCALLOPED ONIONS

2 lb. onions, peeled and
sliced thin
pepper
Lawry's seasoning salt
celery seed
dill seed
1/2 c. water
buttered bread crumbs

Let onions stand in salt water for 2 hours. Grease
shallow baking pan. Arrange onions in layers with pepper,
seasoning salt, celery seed and dill seed. Add water. Cover
and bake at 400 degrees at least 1 hour. Fifteen minutes before
serving, uncover and sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.
Return to oven for 15 minutes.
