CABBAGE CASSEROLE

1 small cabbage head
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. paprika
1 c. milk
1 c. Velveeta cheese

Trim and cut into quarters the cabbage and separate
leaves. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour
and seasonings. Blend well. Add cup of milk. Stir until
thickened. Add cheese. (I usually just cut into cubes; 8
average slices, cut with a cheese slicer, equals 1 cup.) Stir
until cheese melts and is well blended. Butter a casserole
dish. Spoon a little cheese sauce in bottom; then add cabbage
leaves. Then add sauce, making layers until ending with sauce.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
