GERMAN APPLE BREAD 1/2 c. margarine 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 Tbsp. milk 2 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 2 finely chopped apples 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. nuts Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla and milk. Sift together dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Add apples, raisins and nuts. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes. Remove from pan to cool. When cool mix together 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and 1 to 2 tablespoons water until smooth and drizzle over bread.
