2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 yeast cakes
1/2 c. melted shortening
2 eggs
7 to 7 1/2 c. sifted flour

Put sugar, salt, shortening and milk in bowl. Add
crumbled yeast cakes and stir until yeast is dissolved. Add
half of flour and stir until blended. Turn into floured pastry
cloth and knead until smooth. Place in greased dish, set in
warm place until it is double in bulk, turn onto board and
knead. Shape into desired shape and bake in 375 degrees oven for 30
minutes. Half of this recipe makes one dozen cinnamon rolls or
one coffee ring.
