STRAWBERRY ALMOND PIE 2 (9-inch) pie crust (use your favorite recipe) Filling: 1 qt. fresh strawberries, washed and cut into thirds 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring dash of salt 2/3 to 1 c. sugar, depending on sweetness desired 3 Tbsp. cornstarch, slightly rounding Mix all ingredients well. Pour into pie crust. Dot well with butter. Cover with top crust. Bake at 375 degrees for at least 45 minutes on middle rack. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
