FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 1 qt. fresh, sliced strawberries, drain well 1/2 c. sugar 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 c. hot water 3 Tbsp. corn syrup pinch of salt 3 Tbsp. strawberry gelatin Combine in kettle: sugar, cornstarch, hot water, corn syrup and salt. Cook 5 minutes until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in strawberry gelatin. Combine sliced strawberries with cooled sauce, then put into baked pie crust. Garnish with Cool Whip and refrigerate 4 hours or more.
