2/3 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. shortening
2 pkg. yeast
2/3 c. lukewarm water
3 eggs
3 c. sifted flour

Combine scalded milk, sugar and shortening and cool to
lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in water, add to this mixture. Add
eggs, beat well and add flour. Beat until smooth and elastic.
Place in greased bowl and brush top lightly with shortening.
Cover with towel, and place in warm place without drafts for 1
hour or until double. Shape into rolls and put into greased 10
x 14 x 2-inch pan. Let rise until double in size. Bake at
400 degrees for 20 minutes.
