ANGEL BISCUITS 5 c. unsifted flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 Tbsp. warm water 1 c. shortening 2 c. buttermilk Mix all dry ingredients (except yeast). Cut in shorten- ing. Dissolve yeast in warm water, then add to buttermilk. Mix well. Turn on lightly floured board, adding more flour as needed to roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut biscuits, dip in melted butter and bake at 400 degrees. This mixture keeps well in refrigerator and can be made ahead of time.
