NO CRUST GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE
2 oz. German sweet baking
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3 beaten eggs
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter or margarine
over low heat; remove from heat. Stir in vanilla; cool. In a
small mixer bowl, combine eggs, sugar, flour and salt. Beat
with electric mixer just until blended. (Do not overbeat.)
Fold in chocolate (cooled) mixture; fold in nuts. Pour into a
lightly greased and floured 9-inch pie plate.
Bake in 350 degrees oven for 1 hour or until knife inserted
just off center comes out clean. Refrigerate the pie overnight
before serving. To serve, dollop it with whipped cream and
garnish with additional chopped nuts, if desired. This is a recipe from our database at Cookbooks On/Line!
