1 cake yeast
1/2 c. Crisco
5 c. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Scald milk; add Crisco, sugar and salt. When lukewarm,
add yeast and mix. Add flour and beat vigorously. Cover and
let rise in warm place for 2 hours. Beat down; spoon into
greased muffin tins. Let rise for 2 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for
20 to 25 minutes. Brush with butter. Makes 3 dozen.
