COCONUT CREAM PIE|
pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 (9-inch) pie shell
Combine egg yolks, salt and milk. Mix well and place
over low heat, stirring constantly until warm. Combine sugar
and flour, mixing well. Gradually add to milk mixture, stir-
ring constantly. Cook over low heat until thick. Remove and
stir in vanilla and coconut. Top with meringue.
