BASIC DOUGH

4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
2 Tbsp. olive oil

Thoroughly stir flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to flour mixture.
Stir again and then add olive oil. Stir until dough begins to
form a ball in the bowl. Place ball of dough on a lightly
floured board and knead for 8 to 10 minutes. Put in a greased
bowl; cover and let rise in a warm draft free area until
doubled in size. Knead again and allow dough to rise addition-
al 20 minutes. Oven should be at 400 degrees. Great for homemade
