MOMMY'S BREAD

4 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar or honey
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. yeast
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
2 1/4 c. warm water (2, if
using honey)
1 c. Malt-O-Meal or oatmeal
1/2 c. dry milk

Mix 2 cups flour, salt, yeast and sugar (not honey).
Add margarine, water and honey, if used. Add cereal and dry
milk. Add remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead 5 to 10
minutes. Place in greased bowl. Refrigerate 2 to 48 hours.
Punch down. Knead 40 times to form 2 loaves. Let rise in warm
place, 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush
with margarine. Cover with towel on wire rack. If desired,
after second rising, roll out. Spread with soft margarine;
sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar or grated cheese. Roll into
loaves.
