DILLY CASSEROLE BREAD

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. large curd cottage cheese
2 Tbsp, sugar
1 Tbsp. minced onion
1 Tbsp. oleo
2 tsp. dill powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 beaten egg
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. sifted
all-purpose flour

Sprinkle yeast over warm water; stir to dissolve. Heat
cottage cheese to lukewarm. Combine with sugar, onion, butter,
dill, salt, soda, egg and yeast. Add flour, a little at a time
to make stiff batter, beating well after each addition. Cover;
let rise until doubled. Let rise in warm place, 50 to 60
minutes. Stir 25 strokes. Turn into greased 1 1/2-quart round
casserole. Cover; let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for
40 to 50 minutes. Cover with foil last 15 minutes of baking.
Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Makes one loaf.
