EVELYN'S BRAN MUFFINS|
Pour 2 cups boiling water over 2 cups 100% Bran flakes;
let cool. Mix together:
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
Add cooled bran mixture, 5 cups flour (unsifted), 5
teaspoons soda, 1 tablespoon salt and 4 cups Kellogg's bran
cereal. Mix well. Bake 25 minutes in 400 degrees oven. Will keep in
refrigerator for six weeks.
