CRUNCHY APPLE PIE unbaked pie crust (9-inch) 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/8 tsp. cloves 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 1/2 c. butter or margarine 6 tart apples or 1 can pie apples, well drained Line pie pan with pastry. Mix sugars, flour, spices, lemon peel and butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Spread 1/3 of this mixture over bottom of of unbaked pastry. Place sliced apples in pie plate and spoon remaining sugar and spice mixture over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
