BRAN MUFFINS

5 tsp. baking soda in 2 c.
boiling water or juice
1 c. shortening or 2 cubes
margarine
4 eggs
5 c. flour (white or whole
wheat)
1 tsp. salt
2 c. 40% Bran Buds
4 c. 100% bran flakes

Mix all in order given: baking soda in boiling water or
juice, shortening or margarine, eggs, flour, salt, 40% Bran
Buds and 100% bran flakes. Let stand in refrigerator and use
as needed. Will keep refrigerated for 5 weeks. Can add nuts,
sunflower seeds, raisins, blueberries or fresh chopped fruit.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
