PULL BREAD

1 c. scalded milk or 3/4 c.
milk with 1/4 c. lukewarm
water when using dry yeast
1 pkg. yeast
4 Tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon

Cool milk to lukewarm. When using dry yeast, dissolve
first in water, add to 3/4 cup milk, stir until dissolved. Add
eggs, shortening, sugar, milk mixture, salt and flour. Mix
well. Let rise in warm place until double. Punch down. Pinch
off pieces of dough about size of walnut. Roll in melted
butter, sugar and cinnamon mix. Layer rounds in greased tube
pan. Sprinkle chopped nuts on each layer if desired. Rise
about 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
