DILLY BREAD

1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2
cup warm water
1 c. creamed cottage cheese,
heated to lukewarm
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. butter
2 tsp. dill seed
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Mix well and beat all ingredients, except yeast mixture.
Add yeast. Mix thoroughly. Add 2 1/4 cups flour (plain).
Cover. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down, adding a
little bit more flour, if needed. With spoon, put into an 8 x
4 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Grease pan. Let rise again until
double in bulk. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Brush top with
melted butter and sprinkle with salt. If doubled, recipe will
make 3 loaves. Freezes well.
