PECAN PIE (SOUTHERN U.S.)|
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan halves
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Combine butter, sugar and corn syrup. Cook on low heat,
stirring until sugar dissolves. Cool a little, then add eggs,
vanilla and salt. Mix well. Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie
shell. Place pecan halves gently on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 50
to 55 minutes.
