SHOO-FLY PIE
(Pennsylvania Dutch)
1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Combine the molasses, water and baking soda well in a 2
cup container. Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. Mix the
flour, brown sugar and Crisco until it's like coarse crumbs.
Gently put on top of pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or 350 degrees
for 25 minutes.
