1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Cream together sugar, Crisco and yolks. Add milk and
vanilla. Sift and add flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
Pat 3/4 of this mixture into pan (10 x 14 x 1-inch). Cover
with 2 cans of your favorite fruit filling. Roll remaining
dough for lattice top. Brush with beaten egg whites. Bake at
350 degrees to 375 degrees or until golden brown.
