1 1/2 c. warm water
2 pkg. dry yeast
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Measure warm water into large bowl. Sprinkle in yeast.
Stir until dissolved. Stir in sugar, salt and half the flour.
Beat with a spoon. Add egg and melted shortening. Beat in
rest of flour until smooth. Scrape down sides of bowl. Cover
and let rise about 30 minutes. Stir down dough. Spoon into
muffin pans. Let rise until dough reaches top. Bake at 400 degrees
for 15 minutes.
