RHUBARB NUT BREAD|
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Stir together in order given: brown sugar, shortening,
sour milk, soda, vanilla, flour, rhubarb and nuts. Pour into 2
greased and well floured pans. Add topping of 1/2 cup sugar, 1
tablespoon butter. Cream together. Spread over top before
baking. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.
