2 c. lukewarm water in bowl
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c. melted shortening
6 1/2 c. flour
Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar, salt and beaten egg.
Add 3 cups flour. Now add melted shortening; beat well. Add
remaining 3 1/2 cups flour; mix thoroughly. Turn into greased
bowl. Cover; let rise to double in size. Punch down and
either shape or refrigerate in a tight lid Tupperware bowl.
