PASTRY CRUST AND FILLING
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. lard
1/2 c. ground suet
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold water
Crust: Blend together ingredients as pie dough. Divide
into 6 parts. Roll dough the size of a medium pie plate, about
1 c. raw potatoes, cut small
1/4 lb. steak, cut small
2 Tbsp. chopped onions
2 Tbsp. ground suet
salt and pepper to taste
chopped rutabagas (optional)
Filling: Put filling on 1/2 of the rolled dough; fold
over and seal edges. Bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees, then 45 minutes
