YEAST ROLLS

1/2 c. warm water
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 egg
2 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. potato flakes
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. ginger

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk and add sugar,
shortening and salt. Cool. Add water and beaten egg. Add
yeast. Mix in potato flakes. Add flour, soda, baking powder
and ginger. Mix well. Cover and let rise until double. Punch
down. Knead 3 to 5 minutes and shape into balls. Place side
by side in cake pan. Bake in 450 degrees oven until golden brown for
15 to 20 minutes.
