3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (1 /2 lb.) margarine
1 c. (1/2 lb.) creamed cottage

In a large bowl mix flour, salt, margarine and cheese;
cut with a pastry blender, until well blended. Wrap dough in
wax paper and chill at least 1 hour. On a floured board, roll
out dough 1/8 inch thick. Cut out dough with 2 inch cookie
cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick with fork.
Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, until brown. Remove from
oven. Cool on rack. Makes 400 crackers.
Caraway Crackers: add 4 teaspoons to dough.
Sesame-Onion: add 4 teaspoons sesame seed and 4 tea-
spoons grated onion to dough.
Poppy Seed: add 2 teaspoons.
Herb: add 4 teaspoons chopped parsley, 4 teaspoons
snipped chives and 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed to dough.
