WILL GEER'S THANKSGIVING PIE

1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
3 eggs
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. melted margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the crust. Beat eggs
well; beat in the corn syrup, margarine, sugar, pumpkin and
vanilla until well blended. Arrange pecans in bottom of
unbaked crust. Slowly pour the egg mixture over them. Bake
one hour or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool. Serve
with whipped cream.
