FRENCH SILK PIE

3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 baked pie shell
whipped cream
shaved chocolate

Soften butter at room temperature. Cream butter and
sugar. Melt chocolate over boiling water and cool. Stir into
creamed mixture and stir in vanilla. Add the eggs, one at a
time, beating for 5 minutes after each addition. Pour into pie
shell. Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.
