SCHNECKEN 1 qt. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 7 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 2 Tbsp. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. milk or amount needed to make a soft dough 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. raisins, chopped brown sugar and butter Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, eggs, butter and milk as for biscuits and roll out 3/8-inch thick, dividing dough in half. Spread with melted butter and cover with nuts and raisins. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Roll up dough and cut into slices. Bake in pans which contain 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup corn syrup and 1/3 cup butter mixed and simmered in a small saucepan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn out of pans immedi- ately.
