3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. warm water

Mix dry ingredients (add only 1/2 of flour = 1 1/2
cups). Add butter and water, mix with mixer on high speed for
3 minutes. Add eggs and 1 cup more flour mix. Add remaining
flour. Knead until tight. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Punch down
and make into rolls. Let rise. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
