GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE

Crust:

3 egg whites
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
2 German chocolate bars
6 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. sugar
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Crust: Whip egg white until foamy with cream of tartar.
Add sugar gradually. Fold in nuts. Make nest in pie plate.
Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour.
Filling: Melt 2 bars German chocolate in 6 tablespoons
water. Cool. Whip cream. Add sugar and vanilla gradually.
Fold in chocolate mixture. Pour into cool crust and chill.
