CRACKLING BREAD 1 egg, beaten 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. white corn meal (plain) 1 tsp. soda 3 Tbsp. flour 1 1/2 c. fresh cracklings Mix cracklings with dry ingredients. Add egg and buttermilk; beat until combined. Pour into a hot greased skillet. Bake in a 350 degrees to 400 degrees oven until light brown for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
