1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. sugar
1 to 1 1/2 c. milk
salt to taste
Mix cornbread in bowl. Put shortening in heavy iron
skillet and heat. When all the ingredients have been well
mixed, pour into hot skillet. Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
