PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY MUFFINS

1 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
1/2 stick margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
jelly or jam

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
Cut in peanut butter and margarine until mixture is crumbly.
Beat eggs and milk together and stir into peanut butter mixture
just until moistened. Spoon batter into greased muffin tins.
Put 1/2 teaspoon of jam in center of each muffin. Bake in a
preheated oven at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Yield: 1 dozen
muffins.
