HOMEMADE BREAD 3/4 c. boiling water 1/4 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 pkg. dry yeast, in 1/4 c. lukewarm water 2 Tbsp. margarine 3 to 3 1/2 c. flour Combine sugar, salt and margarine in boiling water. Let cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and egg together; add to first mixture. Add flour and mix well. Let rise in covered bowl for 2 hours; then knead well. Shape into greased loaf pan and let rise until doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on rack.
