YEAST BISCUITS

5 c. self-rising flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda

In a large bowl mix flour, shortening and sugar. Mix
soda with buttermilk and pour into flour mixture. Dissolve
yeast in warm water. Add all ingredients and mix well. Roll
out and cut into biscuits. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Unused dough may be kept in refrigerator for a few days.
