DOUBLE CRUST APPLE PIE Crust: 3 c. sifted flour 1 c. shortening 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. water Mix and divide the crust. 7 fresh apples 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. nutmeg 2 dashes salt 1 Tbsp. flour 1 heaping Tbsp. butter 1 c. boiling water Peel and dice the apples. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. In small bowl, mix salt and flour; cut in butter, mix. Pour boiling water over mix. Cook 1 hour at 350 degrees.
