MEXICAN CORNBREAD 1 c. cornmeal 1/2 tsp. soda 3/4 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 2 eggs 1/2 c. shortening 1 can cream-style corn 1 Tbsp. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, chopped fine 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 1 Mexican hot link, chopped 2 Polish sausages, chopped fine 1 Tbsp. jalapeno pepper Combine all ingredients. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool slightly before slicing.
