CUSTARD PIE 4 eggs, well beaten 2 c. scalded milk 1 tsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. nutmeg pinch of salt 1/2 c. plus 1/8 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Blend eggs, sugar, salt, cornstarch and vanilla. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into uncooked pie shell; bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. If you want it sweeter, add 1 tablespoon cornstarch with sugar. If more sugar is used, it will be watery.
