GINGERBREAD 1/2 c. shortening, softened 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 c molasses 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon Pour boiling water over shortening to melt. Stir togeth- er sugar, egg and molasses and add to shortening mixture. Combine remaining ingredients and add to other ingredients. Bake in a well greased pan or muffin tins at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
