APPLE ROLLS

Dough:

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. lard
1/2 c. milk

Filling:
apples
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter

Sauce:
1 c. granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 c. boiling water

Dice 2 medium apples. Spread on rolled dough which has
been rolled out in one large piece. Sprinkle apples with brown
sugar, cinnamon and butter. Roll in a roll and slice off about
1 inch slices. Lay slices flat in pan.
Sauce: Blend sugar, flour and salt. Add water and
blend, add lemon juice and butter.
Note: My family liked more lemon sauce so I always
double the ingredients on the sauce. Pour lemon sauce over the
slices. Then bake at 350 degrees.
