GREEN APPLE PIE 1 pie shell 4 to 5 c. tart apple slices 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 tsp. cinnamon dash of nutmeg 2 Tbsp. flour Topping: 6 Tbsp. butter 6 Tbsp. brown sugar 3/4 c. flour Mix dry ingredients. Peel apples into water with 1 tablespoon lemon juice added. Drain and slice apples. Fold dry ingredients into the apples and pour into pie shell. Topping: Cream butter and brown sugar. Cut in 3/4 cup flour. Sprinkle over pie filling. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes.
