GLAZE FOR STRAWBERRY PIE

1 c. water
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
fresh strawberries
1 baked pie shell

Combine water with cornstarch and sugar. Cook in small
saucepan until mixture is thick, stirring constantly. Lower
heat, simmer for 5 minutes or until clear. Add lemon juice and
food coloring. Stir until thoroughly blended. Cool, add small
amount of water, if needed, for proper consistency. Place
fresh strawberries in pie shell, cover with glaze. Yields 4 to
6 servings.
