REFRIGERATOR ROLLS (Old Recipe From Better Homes And Gardens) 2 pkg. granular yeast 1 tsp. sugar 1 c. warm tap water 2 c. milk, scalded (4 minutes microwave High) 2/3 c. butter Crisco 3/4 c. sugar 4 tsp. salt 2 beaten eggs 6 to 7 c. flour Soften yeast and dissolve sugar in warm water. Melt Crisco in scalded milk. Add sugar and salt. Let cool, then add yeast. Add eggs; beat well. Add flour to make soft dough. Let stand 10 minutes. Knead with 1 cup flour, no more than 10 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, grease top and cover. Store in fridge 2 to 3 days. Shape rolls 2 hours before serving. Let rise until double. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cinnamon Rolls: Divide in 2, roll out about 1/4-inch thick. Layer melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, pecans, raisins. Roll and cut. Rise. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Freezes well without glaze. (Frost with 10x, water and vanil- la.) Makes 18 cloverleaf rolls, 15 cinnamon rolls.
