BEAN POT BROWN BREAD

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
11 1/2 oz. can bean with
bacon soup
1/2 c. light molasses
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. oil
1 c. bite size whole wheat
biscuits
4 1/2 c. unbleached flour
1 c. whole wheat flour

Soften yeast in warm water. Mix undiluted soup in large
bowl at medium speed of mixer until broken up. Add the hot,
not boiling, water, molasses, sugar, salt, egg, oil, cereal, 2
cups flour and yeast. Blend well, beat 3 minutes at medium
speed. By hand gradually stir in remaining flour. Put in warm
place and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and make
loaves in medium-size bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45
minutes.
