SWEET POTATOES PIES

6 medium sweet potatoes
3 c. sugar
2 lb. butter, melted
8 large eggs
dash of salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. mace
2 tsp. vanilla flavor
2 cans Carnation milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Make pie crust or buy Mrs. Smith's
pie crust. Cook sweet potatoes until done. Drain and mash up.
Add sugar, eggs, butter and all of the spices; mix well. Add
vanilla, then put in pie shell. Cook for 15 minutes at 400 degrees,
then turn down and cook until done at 350 degrees, about 45 minutes
more.
