APPLE PIE
(Dessert)
Crust:

3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
3 to 4 Tbsp. sour cream
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
milk for top crust

Filling:
9 to 10 green or Granny Smith
apples, sliced
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter, cut in small
pieces

Crust: Place flour and salt in bowl. Add shortening and
cut into flour with a knife until the mixture looks crumbly.
Add 3 tablespoons of sour cream. Mix all ingredients together
in a bowl with hands until dough is formed. If dough is too
dry, add more sour cream. Cut the dough in half, roll one half
onto a glass pie plate preferably. Sprinkle the dough with the
remaining flour and sugar and set aside. Prepare apple filling
and place in pie plate. Cover with top crust. Brush top with
milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. A 9 or 10-inch pie plate
can be used.
