HOBO BREAD

2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. raisins
4 tsp. baking soda
3 Tbsp. Wesson oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 c. flour

Pour boiling water over the raisins and soda. Let stand
overnight. In the morning, add oil, salt, sugar and flour.
Mix thoroughly. Bake in three (1 pound) coffee cans for about
1 hour at 350 degrees. Grease cans first. Let cool completely before
removing from cans (cans are reusable). The loaves are not too
big, as you divide the batter into the 3 cans.
